The creator remains the creator.

You retain ownership of your original material and final creative authority unless a separate written agreement expressly provides otherwise. Development guidance does not automatically transfer rights or give LevelUp authorship. Co-writing, ghostwriting, adaptation, licensing, work-for-hire, or ownership arrangements are separately defined.

What affects the final quote?

Word count, material organization, restructuring and expansion, number and length of chapters, continuity and world-building complexity, meetings and deliverables, turnaround, reconstruction of prior material, and separately approved outside professional costs.

A quote may fall within or outside these ranges based on the actual workload. Scope, deliverables, timing, pricing, payment terms, and applicable ownership or confidentiality terms must be agreed in writing.

Payment and scope

Suggested arrangements: projects under $200 are paid in full before scheduled work unless otherwise agreed; $200–$750 projects typically use 50% to reserve or start and 50% at an agreed completion milestone. Projects over $750 may use milestone billing, including a 30–40% start payment, progress payments, and a final balance. Monthly support is paid before the service cycle begins.

Final terms are confirmed in your quote. Third-party expenses require prior disclosure and approval. Additional work is scoped and quoted before substantial work beyond the agreement begins.

Service boundaries and confidentiality

Book development does not automatically include professional copyediting, proofreading, legal review or advice, cover design or illustration, interior formatting, printing, distribution, ISBN purchases, marketing campaigns, social-media management, or paid advertising. Separately quoted or contracted services are identified in writing.

There is no guarantee of publication, sales, agent or publisher acceptance, distribution, investment, or project financing. Creator material is handled confidentially and shared only as needed for authorized work; protected original concepts will not knowingly be reused in another project.
